What are Natural, Organic, Vegan and Cruelty Free Concepts in Cosmetic Products?

Natural cosmetics: Natural cosmetics refer to products that are produced without any chemical products in their content. These products are obtained entirely from plant, animal and/or mineral-based substances. They do not contain chemicals such as paraffin, synthetic dyes, synthetic perfumes and silicone. Organic Cosmetics: Products that are certified by the relevant institutions that at least 95% of the agriculturally derived ingredients are organic are organic cosmetic products. In order for agriculturally derived products to receive an organic certificate, their production processes are inspected within the framework of certain standards. Vegan cosmetics: These are products that do not contain any animal substances. Unlike vegetarian cosmetics, they do not include products such as milk, honey and beeswax that are indirectly obtained from animals. They do not claim to have natural content. A product prepared entirely with synthetic ingredients can also be vegan. Cruelty Free: You may see the Cruelty Free text or a rabbit logo on some packaging. This text and logo indicate that no animal testing is done in the production of that product and that no animals are harmed at any stage of the production process. In order to use these logos, the production processes of the product must pass certain inspections and be approved and certified by the relevant institutions. In Europe and in Turkey, which implements the European cosmetics regulation, it is already forbidden to test raw materials used in the production of cosmetic products on animals.
